Church at home.

With the Covid virus quarantine in effect, many Christians seem to be concerned about not being able to go to their Church for fellowship and hear The Word. If you are concerned about this, I have a few suggestions.

Check to see if your Church has a “live” Church Service! Some Churches are live streaming their Services or taping them. Get in contact with them and see if they offer this. Or maybe they offer Sermons via email.

Get on YouTube or another platform and find other tapes Sermons to watch. Some places even have up the oldies like Katherin Kuhlman and other spiritual giants of old. Do a search and see what you can find!

Get some good books and read them! I honestly cannot tell you how many good books I have. I honestly could start a small Church library at this time, but I love them and I feel my personal study time is very important. Whatever books can help me draw closer to Father and His Love is extremely important to me. In the photo you will see part of my collection. Sadly, I need another bookcase for other books piling up on our bedroom floor! The Holy Spirit has led me personally to books to help me get closer to Him, so that’s one reason I love them so much. But no book will EVER take the place of His Words or leading!

The most important way to hear The Word of God is by getting somewhere quiet and just Worship Him, Love on Him and listen for His Voice. Always back up what you hear with the Bible’s written Word. Some great books on hearing His Voice are in my photo. I recommend, “Drawing Near”, “The Bait Of Satan”, “Forever Ruined For The Ordinary” (my favorite) and “Desperately Deep”.

The biggest thing is just making time to set a time to just focus on Him alone. It might be more difficult at home with so many distractions like the laundry, dishes, the kiddo’s needing you for things, etc. Distractions happen. Maybe you can make these times a Family Time with God. All of you watch the Sermon together, or read a good book focused on Him, pray together and worship together. It can be fun, and actually bring your Family together more.

Some books I highly recommend!

The Trap!

This commercial is one of my favorites. (I know what it looks like, but don’t judge me too quickly.)
It’s like life. We’re walking along, everything is great, everything seems to be going our way. Then suddenly out of nowhere, SNAP! Life takes an ugly turn, and it seems like everything is just spiraling out of control.

It looks hopeless.
Fear comes in. Our hope is gone, and then the enemy whispers in your mind, “Where is your God? Why isn’t He here to help you?” Then the enemy tries to seal your feelings of hopelessness with condemnation saying, “You must have done something, that He would abandon you like this. He must be very angry at you.”

You frantically search your memories, trying to figure out where you went wrong,… where you sinned, and maybe some things come to mind.

Now you feel trapped, hopeless, maybe angry, and now you feel condemned, thinking you can’t cry out to God because He’s angry at you.

You lay there, and just take your punishment.
Then,… another thought comes to your mind, “There is no no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:1)

A glimpse of hope comes to your mind and heart.

Then another thought comes, “Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” (Hebrews 4:16)

Hope starts to explode in your heart, and you start to stand against the condemnation, and the hopelessness. You repent of your sins, thank Jesus for His Sacrifice for your sins and to being restoration to your RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM.

You remember who you are in Him,… and faith rises up inside you, the fight is on!

“THE LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” (Deuteronomy 31:8)
The Holy Spirit shines a light on the life you were living, and the things you were focusing on, the things that looked so good, are now revealed to you. That wonderful looking thing (the cheese), was baited to a hidden trap, laid there by the enemy. Maybe it was offense. Maybe it was distractions from God. Maybe it was a temptation of some sort. Either way, that bait was to ruin your relationship with God.
The enemy can’t steal your hope now, and there’s no way he can discourage you! You have just become a fearful enemy to him, because you know the TRUTH!

You take your stand, and push back, remembering the Words The Holy Spirit reminded you of! You push, and push, and PUSH BACK with The Truth, The LOVE of GOD that has just burst into His Holy Fire, burning inside you!

As you push, the enemy gets weaker and looses ground, his defeat is clear, again. It’s like reliving the day he thought he killed Jesus The Christ,… until he got an I welcomed guest!! That day he was disarmed, made an open display (exposed in front of all hell, to show) and Jesus won our freedom (see Colossians 2:8-17) by His sacrifice on the Cross!! That’s why, “No weapon formed against you shall prosper”, (Isaiah 54:17) because all of hell was disarmed by Jesus!!

So don’t let the enemy trick you into thinking you are defeated. You aren’t through Jesus, he is!
Push back! KNOW what great things The Lord has done for you out of His selfless LOVE FOR YOU!
Suggested reading: “The Bait Of Satan” by John Brevere,

“The Secret Of The Stairs” by Wade E Taylor,

“Bought With Blood” by Derek Prince.

Healing the orphan spirit.

Last week I was asking Father how to get closer to Him. After a few minutes I heard in my spirit, “Sonship series”.

I temembered that name from a book, or a teaching from a few years back. So when I did a search two books came up. One I already have read, but this one I didn’t. It’s called, “Healing The Orphan Spirit”, by Leif Hetland.

If you, like, like me,… like many people, have felt rejected, abandoned, abused, neglected, used, or offended, if you suffer emotional pain and or physical pain from abuse then I recommend reading this book.

I also highly recommend reading, “The Bait Of Satan” by John Brevere and “The Secret Of The Stairs” by Wade E Taylor (get a copy from his website).

God’s unconditional love is the remedy to these wounds. And if you feel or have been taught that God is the source of your pain, I’m here to tell you that, that is not the truth. Half of the problem of the modern American Church is that not many truly teach Father God’s heart, Will and emotions correctly, if at all. PLEASE, don’t think that some hurtful, mean, nasty Christian was or is speaking God’s heart. I don’t care who they are!

Please read 1 John 4:7-11, but let me share two verses out of the AMP version:

7. “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is (springs) from God; and he who loves [his fellowmen] is begotten (born) of God and is coming [progressively] to know and understand God [to perceive and recognize and get a better and clearer knowledge of Him]. 8. He who does not love has not become acquainted with God [does not and never did know Him], for God is love.”

Just because a fellow Christian seems to have power in the Church, seems to know much about God, does not mean they KNOW God. If they don’t show love, if they aren’t known for being loving, compassionate, caring, etc, then they truly don’t KNOW God.

Obviously, if they snap at someone one day, then give them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they had a bad day. Maybe they are worried about a loved one, they are human after all. Forgive them quickly, and treat them the way you would want to be treated.

Now flip this around. Some people treat others horribly, then go around telling others (gossiping) that THEY were wounded by the people they were just treating horribly! The bully plays the victim! Then all these other people feel sorry for the bully, and turn on the true victim. Be careful of what you listen to!! (The Bait Of Satan is a GOOD book on this subject.)

God’s love is the FOUNDATION to everything with Him. Loving God with everything we are, and loving our neighbor (every person), see Matthew 22:35-40.

Keep your love on. 🙂
