Christian Head Covering

(I have been looking forward to Autumn, so I found this Sun Flower accent for my head covering at Hobby Lobby in their Fall Decore section!)

“Christians don’t wear head coverings!”

Have you ever seen a Nun? have you ever seen an Amish woman? These are two types of Christians that do wear head coverings, and there are others as well.

“Well,… that’s not for today.”

Really? Says who? 1 Corinthians 11:1-16 says:

I praise and appreciate you because you remember me in everything and you firmly hold to the [a]traditions [the substance of my instructions], just as I have passed them on to you. But I want you to understand that Christ is the head (authority over) of every man, and man is the head of woman, and God is the head of Christ. Every man who prays or [b]prophesies with something on his head dishonors his head [and the One who is his head]. And every woman who prays or prophesies when she has her [c]head uncovered disgraces her head; for she is one and the same as the [d]woman whose head is shaved [in disgrace]. If a woman does not cover her head, she should have her hair cut off; and [e]if it is disgraceful for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, she should cover her head. A man ought not have his head covered [during worship], since he is the image and [reflected] glory of God; but the woman is [the expression of] man’s glory. For man does not originate from woman, but woman from man; for indeed man was not created for the sake of woman, but woman for the sake of man. 10 Therefore the woman ought to have a sign ofauthority on her head, [f]for the sake of the angels [so as not to offend them]. 11 Nevertheless, woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman. 12 For as the woman originates from the man, so also man is born through the woman; and all things [whether male or female] originate from God [as their Creator]. 13 [g]Judge for yourselves; is it proper for a woman to offer prayer to God [publicly] with her head uncovered? 14 Does not common sense itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a dishonor to him, 15 but if a woman has long hair, it is her ornament and glory? For her long hair is given to her as a covering. 16 Now if anyone is inclined to be contentious [about this], we have no other practice [in worship than this], nor do the churches of God [in general].

Yes,… that’s a lot to take in and understand, and there is definitely some confusion as to if long hair is a covering or not. So I would like to suggest a book that has really helped me understand this subject

This booklet has helped me the most, in understanding this subject more than any other. So much so, that I’ve considered purchasing several just to hand out!

I have personally been covering for five years now, not as a fashion show, but for prayer and humility. There is definitely something about covering when praying and studying the Bible! ❤️

THE HEART OF GOD!

YES, YES, YES!!!! A MILLION TIMES, YES!!!
A RELATIONSHIP with Father God, Jesus The Christ and The Holy Spirit is our purpose!! To love Him, to receive His unconditional Love so that it can overflow into others lives.

His Peace, His Joy, His Strength, His Mercy, His Healing, His Compassion, His Forgiveness, His Provision, His Excellence, His Fatherhood, His Wisdom, His Strategy, His Abundance, ALL FLOW OUT OF HIS LOVE!

Listen to what Todd White has to say:

Drawing Near to God.

The more I learn about relationship with Father God, the more I have to look at and work on Worshipping Father, Praying to Father and Fasting.
Worshipping acknowledges Father as God Almighty, The God of Love, Truth, Justice, Mercy, Salvation, Peace, Healing, Abundance, Life, Wisdom, Adoption, Counsel, Forgiveness, Grace, Help, and much more. In our worship we just love on Him and focus on Him.
Prayer is our Communication with Father God. We talk WITH Him during these times. We also sit quietly and LISTEN for Him to speak. His Voice is a still, small Voice inside. Or sometimes He will speak audibly, or through a song, a billboard, or even a bumper sticker! The words just seem to grab your attention, or stand out.
Fasting quiets our will, our flesh, and focuses us on Father God. We are less distracted. Prayer and worship MUST go along with fasting, or else it’s just a diet.
All three of these important subjects are SACRIFICES. They are meant to get our focus off of us, our wants, our desires, our wills and puts our focus on God alone and His Will.
This is how we come close to God. 🙂

Offense kills the most important relationship!

Matthew 24:3-14 AMP3 “While He was seated on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately and said, Tell us, when will this take place, and what will be the sign of Your coming and of the end (the completion, the consummation) of the age?

4 Jesus answered them, Be careful that no one misleads you [deceiving you and leading you into error].

5 For many will come in (on the strength of) My name [appropriating the name which belongs to Me], saying, I am the Christ (the Messiah), and they will lead many astray.

6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not frightened or troubled, for this must take place, but the end is not yet.

7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in place after place;

8 All this is but the beginning [the early pains] of the birth pangs [of the [intolerable anguish].

9 Then they will hand you over to suffer affliction and tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake.

10 And then many will be offended and repelled and will begin to distrust and desert [Him Whom they ought to trust and obey] and will stumble and fall away and betray one another and pursue one another with hatred.

11 And many false prophets will rise up and deceive and lead many into error.

12 And the love of the great body of people will grow cold because of the multiplied lawlessness andiniquity,

13 But he who endures to the end will be saved.

14 And this good news of the kingdom (the Gospel) will be preached throughout the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then will come the end.”

In Matthew 24, Jesus is talking about the last days, before He returns. And there is a reason why God’s people are acting so wickedly.

In verse 12 it says, the LOVE of God’s people will wax cold. How? Verse 10 says many shall be OFFENDED.

Yes, offense is a much bigger problem than many know or understand. LOVE is opposite of offense. Without love, when we pray to God we just sound like noise to Him, (see 1 Corinthians 12:1-8).

If we do not have love, we cannot truly forgive someone. You can’t say you love someone and not forgive them, and vice versa, that’s not love. And if we don’t forgive others, God cannot forgive us, (see Matthew 6:14-15). Jesus The Christ commands us to love and forgive!

God IS LOVE, (see 1 John 4:7-21), so we need to be imitators of Father God, and speak His language, LOVE.

I cannot emphasize how important love is.

I understand everyone had been hurt, wounded, OFFENDED by someone somewhere at sometime. I understand it’s hard to forgive, so that is why I keep pushing the book, “THE BAIT IF SATAN” by John Brevere. It will help you to release the hurts and offenses that you have. I promise.

Do not allow the offense to hinder your relationship with Father God! It’s not worth it.

I love you.

Fasting!

A few days ago, I found myself feeling very frustrated and I had no reason to be.I went for a drive by myself, and cried out to The Lord for more of Him. To trust Him completely. To love Him completely. To seek His face as my VITAL need. To have that VITAL RELATIONSHIP with Him.
The next day, I looked at my desk with the pile of books. Some I have read, some are on my “next to read” list. All of them pointing towards my desperation for more of Him.
Then one book stood out.

I had never heard of the author, but the book had excellent reviews on Amazon, so I got it. But it’s just been sitting and waiting for me to get around to it.
I picked it up and started reading the cover. “FASTING: Opening the door to a deeper, more meaningful relationship with God”. 😳
Since then, I have been reading,… and reading,…. and reading.

I don’t just read a book to read it. I read to study it. To learn. To get it.

I chew on it slowly, savor in each bite, if you will. And this book, is by far, the BEST book on Fasting that I have ever read yet.

It explains the how’s and WHY’S on Fasting. And that has been my two biggest questions, especially the WHY. I can go through the motions, but without fully understanding why, then it just becomes a diet.
If you are a Christian, you need this book.

If you don’t think Christians need to fast,… then you need this book.

If you want a deeper RELATIONSHIP with Father and to hear His Voice, then you NEED this book.

If you are facing a stubborn situation, or if you are in a DESPERATE situation, you NEED THIS BOOK.
I’m not exaggerating.

Please, get a copy.
