Heart’s Motive.

I really, whole heartedly believe our heart’s motive has so much to do with God’s ability to use us and work through us. We can say, “I love so and so!” but if we have been hurt by so and so, and it has not been dealt with or forgiven, we will hold back everything God wants us to do for them or how we treat them. And in the end we are hindering what God wants to do through us for that person.

We need to be just wrecked by God’s unconditional love for us and for all people! If we allow Him to do that, and if we determine to keep our heart’s and minds continually flowing out of God’s love,… His love will wreck others and they will need to know who God is, who Jesus is, who The Holy Spirit is! They will desperately NEED to know Him!

But this needs to start with us. We NEED to know Him. We need to be so desperate for Him, so in love with Him that NOTHING, NO ONE and NO HURT or OFFENSE could ever distract us from getting to KNOW HIM, The God of unconditional LOVE.

“For [if we are] in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but only faith activated and expressed and working through love.” Galatians 5:6 AMP

I know how hard it can be when you have been hurt by someone. Depending on the hurt or offense, it can take weeks, months or even years to get over that pain,… whether it was intentional or not or whether it is true or not. Sometimes people lie about you and slander you. They will do everything they can to destroy your reputation in other people’s eyes, and it can be devastating!

Getting even is not the answer.

Hurting people, hurt others. I wholeheartedly believe that. When people are hurting from past pains that have never been healed, the pain grows and begins to consume a person’s mind the longer it goes without being dealt with. When a person’s heart and mind is so consumed with these wounds, all that they see and hear is through a “lens” or filter of past pain. They are usually suspicious, critical, bitter, gossiping, aggressive, slandering, and, or accusing. They always seem to be there, pointing out other’s faults, problems, or “lies”.

As Christians we cannot be like this. This will hinder the Love Of God from flowing through us, because we won’t know it ourselves!

” 8. He who does not love has not become acquainted with God [does not and never did know Him], for Gos is love.

9. In this the love of God was made manifest (displayed) where we are concerned: in that God sent His Son, the only begotten or unique [Son], into the world so that we might live through Him.

10. In this love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation (the atoning sacrifice) for our sins.

11. Beloved, if God loved us so [very much], we also ought to love one another.

12. No man has at any time [yet] seen God. But if we love one another, God abides (lives and remains) in us and His love (that love which is essentially His) is brought to completion (to its full maturity, runs its full course, is perfected) in us!”

13. By this we come to know (perceive, recognize, and understand) that we abide (live and remain) in Him and He in us: because He has given (imparted) to us of His [Holy] Spirit.

14. And [besides] we ourselves have seen (have deliberately and steadfastly contemplated) and bear witness that the Father has sent the Son [as the] Savior Of The world.” 1 John 4:8-14 AMP

Please also read 1 Corinthians 13:1-8, 13, 14:1.

Ok, so the question is, how do we receive a healing for mental and emotional wounds? The answer (is always) Prayer. Going to God and depending on Him for healing should always be our first and main choice. And during that time, if He leads you to a book, or to another source, then He is still being the source of your healing! It may take some time, be patient and persistent.

35. “And one of their number, a lawyer, asked Him a question to test Him.

36. Teacher, which kind of commandment is great and important (the principal kind) in the Law? [Some commandments are light- which are heavy?]

37. And He replied to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind (intellect).

38. This is the great (most important, principal) and first commandment.

39. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as [you do] yourself.

40. These two commandments sum up and upon them depend all the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 22:35-40 AMP.

If I may suggest a few books that have helped me:

“The Bait Of Satan” by John Brevere (an excellent book!),

“The Supernatural Power Of Forgiveness” by Kris & Jason Vallotton (I’m currently reading this one, and it’s really good!),

“Did You Learn To Love?” By Bonnie Jones,

“Experiencing The Father’s Embrace” by Jack Frost,

“Only Love Can Make A Miracle” by Mahesh Chavada (one of my favorites besides ‘The Bait Of Satan’!)

If you feel led, look into these books. The Bait Of satan really helped me personally.

Let the healing begin. ❤️

A long one, but much needed.
I have noticed a lot of fears and assumptions running rampant lately. It seems to be building up, the fear, the pressures, the worry,… and it’s a good tactic from the enemy. If you have ever studied warfare, you most likely know that one of the best ways to defeat your enemy is with psychological warfare.
Psychological warfare is defined as: “the use of propaganda, threats, and other psychological techniques to mislead, intimidate, demoralize, or otherwise influence the thinking or behavior of an opponent”. (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/psychological-warfare)

The opponent or enemy will do or say things to convince you that you are loosing the battle, even though you could possibly be winning! If they can get you to just listen to the lie, and to think about it long enough, then you can be manipulated into accepting the lie as truth. Once you accept the lie as truth in your mind, you become defeated by accepting the lie that you are defeated already. You become hopeless, depressed and your will to fight diminishes. You have just surrendered, just by the battle in your mind.
Fear is nothing more than a way to influence and mislead you to feel and accept defeat in your mind,… sometimes before you even try to do it!
Fear not only is a liar, but it also steals your hope, joy and peace. If fear can get you to loose HOPE, then it can win.

The fear / lies can come from a person’s words, a look, or actions. They can be planted into your mind from hearing gossip or by assuming that what you THOUGHT you heard or saw was a certain thing but honestly you didn’t hear it fully to know the whole conversation. (Ever played the game “operator”? Look how it turns out at the end,… it’s usually no where even close to what was originally said! Remember that next time you hear gossip!)
Fear can also come from the enemy attacking your mind. You know, those thoughts that just “pop” into your head out of nowhere. The fear / lies can be thought of as spiritual gossip. All negative, all bad, and no hope. It can be about you or someone else. It can make you mad, sad, upset, feeling lost, depressed, etc!
These thoughts / lies / fear say things such as, “Look at how fat you are! No wonder your Husband doesn’t spend much time with you. In fact, when you’ve called him at work you’ve heard him laughing with the secretary,… he hasn’t laughed with you like that in months! She’s probably some beautiful, thin, younger blond. She’s obviously more interesting than you….”

In this thought, you have accepted you are fat, maybe slobbish even. That your Husband doesn’t love you because of how much of a failure you are in your looks, and is possibly having an affair with the secretary at work!

Look at how that thought took off, one thing lead to another and before you know it hope for your Marriage seems like an old dream.

Everyone has fears bombarding them daily. But not many realize the TRUTH THAT WE DO NOT HAVE TO ACCEPT THE FEARS AS TRUTH!
Think of your mind like a filter to your heart. When a thought comes into your mind, despite what it looks or sounds like, you have a CHOICE to accept it as truth or reject it as a lie. The choice is completely up to you.
John 8:44 AMP Jesus’ Words “You are of your father, the devil, and it is your will to practice the lusts and gratify the desires [which are characteristic] of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand with truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a falsehood, he speaks what is natural to him, for he is a liar [himself] and the father of lies and of all that is false.”
Jesus plainly calls satan the father of lies.

John 14:5-7 AMP “5. Thomas said to Him, Lord, we do not know where You are going, so how can we know the way? 6. Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life: no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me. 7. If you had known Me [had learned to recognize Me] you would also have known My Father. From now on, you know Him and have seen Him.”
Jesus IS the Truth, the Way and Life!

Jesus says in John 6:63 AMP “It is the Spirit Who gives life [He is the Life-giver]; the flesh conveys no benefit whatever [there is no profit in it]. The words (truths) that I have been speaking to you are Spirit and life.”
Jesus spoke only what The Holy Spirit told Him to say, and His Words are Life! (See John 3:29-34, John 7:16-18, John 12:47-50, John 14:23-24)

The Father, Jesus and The Holy Spirit are One, the Trinity. So what does The Holy Spirit do? Please read John 14:15-31, but let’s look at verse 26 AMP: “But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you.”
I would encourage you to read Galatians chapter 5, to know and understand that God is for you!
Half the battle comes from us not TRULY KNOWING God. We know of Him, but many don’t have a solid, CONTINUAL RELATIONSHIP with Him. There is a huge difference between knowing of Him and KNOWING HIM!

How can we trust someone we don’t know? How can we rely on them? Anyone could tell us something about a person, and if we don’t KNOW them then we don’t have anything to compare against what they are saying!

So guess what. When the enemy comes to attack you in your mind, to get you to loose hope, to get you to fear, if you KNOW that God is for you, that He is The One that heals you and forgives you (Psalm 103:3, Exodus 15:26), that He is your refuge and strength, your provider,… that He is everything you need (read Psalm 91, Psalm 22:26, Psalm 23, Psalm 24, the list goes on and on!) then there won’t be a thought that can defeat you!!
You desperately need to KNOW GOD, to know His Voice when He speaks to you so you can have counsel and His Wisdom on what to do or say or go.  Psalm 27:8 AMP says, “You have said, Seek My face [inquire for and require My presence as your vital need]. My heart says to You, Your face (Your presence), Lord, will I seek, inquire for, and require [of necessity and on the authority of Your Word].”

When we read His Word in the Bible, we get a taste of His nature, His goodness, His immeasurable Love for us. Then we crave Him more. His Truth, His Love overwhelms us, convicts us, drops us to our knees out of love and gratitude. And His Truth sets us free!
Jesus says in John 8:28-32 “28. So Jesus added, When you have lifted up the Son of Man [on the cross], you will realize (know, understand) that I am He [for Whom you look] and that I do nothing of Myself (of My own accord or on My own authority), but I say [exactly] what My Father has taught Me. 29. And He Who sent Me Is ever with Me; My Father has not left Me alone, for I always do what pleases Him. 30. As He said these things, many believed in Him [trusted, relied on, and adhered to Him]. 31. So Jesus said to those Jews who had believed in Him, If you abide in My Word [hold fast to My teachings and live in accordance with them], you are truly My disciples. 32. And you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free.”

So when that negative thoughts comes up, such as about being fat, uninteresting, ugly, etc. you should smile and say, “No, it is written that I am beautiful to God and He sees that there is no flaw in me! Song of Solomon 4:7!” Once you realize His love for you, you will whole heartedly know this verse is true! :)
It’s no different than when satan tempted Jesus in the wilderness! (See Matthew 4:1-11)

If God is for you, who can be against you? I cannot emphasize Psalm 91 enough!

Some great books on KNOWING God and having a RELATIONSHIP with Him are:”Desperately Deep, Developing Deep Devotion And Dialogue With Jesus” by Lana Vawser,

**(My favorite!) “The Secret Of The Stairs” by Wade E Taylor (https://www.wadetaylorpublications.org/books.html),
