Heart’s Motive.

I really, whole heartedly believe our heart’s motive has so much to do with God’s ability to use us and work through us. We can say, “I love so and so!” but if we have been hurt by so and so, and it has not been dealt with or forgiven, we will hold back everything God wants us to do for them or how we treat them. And in the end we are hindering what God wants to do through us for that person.

We need to be just wrecked by God’s unconditional love for us and for all people! If we allow Him to do that, and if we determine to keep our heart’s and minds continually flowing out of God’s love,… His love will wreck others and they will need to know who God is, who Jesus is, who The Holy Spirit is! They will desperately NEED to know Him!

But this needs to start with us. We NEED to know Him. We need to be so desperate for Him, so in love with Him that NOTHING, NO ONE and NO HURT or OFFENSE could ever distract us from getting to KNOW HIM, The God of unconditional LOVE.

“For [if we are] in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but only faith activated and expressed and working through love.” Galatians 5:6 AMP

I know how hard it can be when you have been hurt by someone. Depending on the hurt or offense, it can take weeks, months or even years to get over that pain,… whether it was intentional or not or whether it is true or not. Sometimes people lie about you and slander you. They will do everything they can to destroy your reputation in other people’s eyes, and it can be devastating!

Getting even is not the answer.

Hurting people, hurt others. I wholeheartedly believe that. When people are hurting from past pains that have never been healed, the pain grows and begins to consume a person’s mind the longer it goes without being dealt with. When a person’s heart and mind is so consumed with these wounds, all that they see and hear is through a “lens” or filter of past pain. They are usually suspicious, critical, bitter, gossiping, aggressive, slandering, and, or accusing. They always seem to be there, pointing out other’s faults, problems, or “lies”.

As Christians we cannot be like this. This will hinder the Love Of God from flowing through us, because we won’t know it ourselves!

” 8. He who does not love has not become acquainted with God [does not and never did know Him], for Gos is love.

9. In this the love of God was made manifest (displayed) where we are concerned: in that God sent His Son, the only begotten or unique [Son], into the world so that we might live through Him.

10. In this love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation (the atoning sacrifice) for our sins.

11. Beloved, if God loved us so [very much], we also ought to love one another.

12. No man has at any time [yet] seen God. But if we love one another, God abides (lives and remains) in us and His love (that love which is essentially His) is brought to completion (to its full maturity, runs its full course, is perfected) in us!”

13. By this we come to know (perceive, recognize, and understand) that we abide (live and remain) in Him and He in us: because He has given (imparted) to us of His [Holy] Spirit.

14. And [besides] we ourselves have seen (have deliberately and steadfastly contemplated) and bear witness that the Father has sent the Son [as the] Savior Of The world.” 1 John 4:8-14 AMP

Ok, so the question is, how do we receive a healing for mental and emotional wounds? The answer (is always) Prayer. Going to God and depending on Him for healing should always be our first and main choice. And during that time, if He leads you to a book, or to another source, then He is still being the source of your healing! It may take some time, be patient and persistent.

35. “And one of their number, a lawyer, asked Him a question to test Him.

36. Teacher, which kind of commandment is great and important (the principal kind) in the Law? [Some commandments are light- which are heavy?]

37. And He replied to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind (intellect).

38. This is the great (most important, principal) and first commandment.

39. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as [you do] yourself.

40. These two commandments sum up and upon them depend all the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 22:35-40 AMP.

If I may suggest a few books that have helped me:

“The Bait Of Satan” by John Brevere (an excellent book!),

“The Supernatural Power Of Forgiveness” by Kris & Jason Vallotton (I’m currently reading this one, and it’s really good!),

“Did You Learn To Love?” By Bonnie Jones,

“Experiencing The Father’s Embrace” by Jack Frost,

“Only Love Can Make A Miracle” by Mahesh Chavada (one of my favorites besides ‘The Bait Of Satan’!)

If you feel led, look into these books. The Bait Of satan really helped me personally.

The Trap!

This commercial is one of my favorites. (I know what it looks like, but don’t judge me too quickly.)
It’s like life. We’re walking along, everything is great, everything seems to be going our way. Then suddenly out of nowhere, SNAP! Life takes an ugly turn, and it seems like everything is just spiraling out of control.

It looks hopeless.
Fear comes in. Our hope is gone, and then the enemy whispers in your mind, “Where is your God? Why isn’t He here to help you?” Then the enemy tries to seal your feelings of hopelessness with condemnation saying, “You must have done something, that He would abandon you like this. He must be very angry at you.”

You frantically search your memories, trying to figure out where you went wrong,… where you sinned, and maybe some things come to mind.

Now you feel trapped, hopeless, maybe angry, and now you feel condemned, thinking you can’t cry out to God because He’s angry at you.

You lay there, and just take your punishment.
Then,… another thought comes to your mind, “There is no no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:1)

A glimpse of hope comes to your mind and heart.

Then another thought comes, “Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” (Hebrews 4:16)

Hope starts to explode in your heart, and you start to stand against the condemnation, and the hopelessness. You repent of your sins, thank Jesus for His Sacrifice for your sins and to being restoration to your RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM.

You remember who you are in Him,… and faith rises up inside you, the fight is on!

“THE LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” (Deuteronomy 31:8)
The Holy Spirit shines a light on the life you were living, and the things you were focusing on, the things that looked so good, are now revealed to you. That wonderful looking thing (the cheese), was baited to a hidden trap, laid there by the enemy. Maybe it was offense. Maybe it was distractions from God. Maybe it was a temptation of some sort. Either way, that bait was to ruin your relationship with God.
The enemy can’t steal your hope now, and there’s no way he can discourage you! You have just become a fearful enemy to him, because you know the TRUTH!

You take your stand, and push back, remembering the Words The Holy Spirit reminded you of! You push, and push, and PUSH BACK with The Truth, The LOVE of GOD that has just burst into His Holy Fire, burning inside you!

As you push, the enemy gets weaker and looses ground, his defeat is clear, again. It’s like reliving the day he thought he killed Jesus The Christ,… until he got an I welcomed guest!! That day he was disarmed, made an open display (exposed in front of all hell, to show) and Jesus won our freedom (see Colossians 2:8-17) by His sacrifice on the Cross!! That’s why, “No weapon formed against you shall prosper”, (Isaiah 54:17) because all of hell was disarmed by Jesus!!

So don’t let the enemy trick you into thinking you are defeated. You aren’t through Jesus, he is!
Push back! KNOW what great things The Lord has done for you out of His selfless LOVE FOR YOU!

Offense kills the most important relationship!

Matthew 24:3-14 AMP3 “While He was seated on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately and said, Tell us, when will this take place, and what will be the sign of Your coming and of the end (the completion, the consummation) of the age?

4 Jesus answered them, Be careful that no one misleads you [deceiving you and leading you into error].

5 For many will come in (on the strength of) My name [appropriating the name which belongs to Me], saying, I am the Christ (the Messiah), and they will lead many astray.

6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not frightened or troubled, for this must take place, but the end is not yet.

7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in place after place;

8 All this is but the beginning [the early pains] of the birth pangs [of the [intolerable anguish].

9 Then they will hand you over to suffer affliction and tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake.

10 And then many will be offended and repelled and will begin to distrust and desert [Him Whom they ought to trust and obey] and will stumble and fall away and betray one another and pursue one another with hatred.

11 And many false prophets will rise up and deceive and lead many into error.

12 And the love of the great body of people will grow cold because of the multiplied lawlessness andiniquity,

13 But he who endures to the end will be saved.

14 And this good news of the kingdom (the Gospel) will be preached throughout the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then will come the end.”

In Matthew 24, Jesus is talking about the last days, before He returns. And there is a reason why God’s people are acting so wickedly.

In verse 12 it says, the LOVE of God’s people will wax cold. How? Verse 10 says many shall be OFFENDED.

Yes, offense is a much bigger problem than many know or understand. LOVE is opposite of offense. Without love, when we pray to God we just sound like noise to Him, (see 1 Corinthians 12:1-8).

If we do not have love, we cannot truly forgive someone. You can’t say you love someone and not forgive them, and vice versa, that’s not love. And if we don’t forgive others, God cannot forgive us, (see Matthew 6:14-15). Jesus The Christ commands us to love and forgive!

God IS LOVE, (see 1 John 4:7-21), so we need to be imitators of Father God, and speak His language, LOVE.

I cannot emphasize how important love is.

I understand everyone had been hurt, wounded, OFFENDED by someone somewhere at sometime. I understand it’s hard to forgive, so that is why I keep pushing the book, “THE BAIT IF SATAN” by John Brevere. It will help you to release the hurts and offenses that you have. I promise.

Do not allow the offense to hinder your relationship with Father God! It’s not worth it.

I love you.

Let LOVE pierce our hearts!

2 Timothy 3:1-5 AMP”1. But understand this, that in the last days will come (set in) perilous times of great stress and trouble [hard to deal with and hard to bear].

2 For people will be lovers of selfish and [utterly] self-centered, lovers of money and aroused by an inordinate [greedy] desire for wealth, proud and arrogant and contemptuous boasters. They will be abusive (blasphemous, scoffing), disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane.

3 [They will be] without natural [human] affection (callous and inhuman), relentless (admitting of no truce or appeasement); [they will be] slanderers (false accusers, trouble makers), intemperate and loose in morals and conduct, uncontrolled and fierce, haters of good.

4 [They will be] treacherous [betrayers], rash, [and] inflated with self-conceit. [They will be] lovers of sensual pleasures and vain amusements more than and rather than lovers of God.

5 For [although] they hold a form of piety (true religion), they deny and reject and are strangers to the power of it [their conduct belies the genuineness of their profession]. Avoid [all] such people [turn away from them]. ”
I have two things to say about this passage.

First off, what does it mean in verse 5, “For [although] they hold a form of piety (true religion), they they deny the power of it”?

First off, verses 1-5 is talking about Christians. (Reread verse 4 & 5 if you doubt).

So the Christians will be the harsh, proud, without natural [human] affection, self-centered, lovers of money and (etc) aroused by vain amusements MORE THAN LOVERS OF GOD.
So how do we deny the Power of God? When we refuse the conviction of The Holy Spirit and REPENT.
John 16:7-11 AMP

“7 However, I am telling you nothing but the truth when I say it is profitable (good, expedient, advantageous) for you that I go away. Because if I do not go away, the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, Standby) will not come to you [into close fellowship with you]; but if I go away, I will send Him to you [to be in close fellowship with you].

8 And when He comes, He will convict and convince the world and bring demonstration to it about sin and about righteousness (uprightness of heart and right standing with God) and about judgement:

9 About sin, because they do not believe in Me [trust in, rely on, and adhere to Me];

10 About righteousness (uprightness of heart and right standing with God), because I go to My Father, and you will see Me no longer;

11 About judgement, because the ruler (evil genius, prince) of this world [Satan] is judged and condemned and sentence already is passed upon him.”
The basic way to describe “sin” is to withhold our self from God our Creator.

In other words, we put our will above God’s Will.

We deny Father God the Reverence and Submission due to Him, and rebel against Him instead.

When we fear man (people) and what they think about us, more than fearing (by reverence) what God thinks about us or what He has told us to do.

When we demand our “rights”, above God’s Commands.

When we focus our eyes, ears, hearts, and minds on anything other than God, rather than worshiping Him, loving on Him, talking WITH Him, and asking Him what is in His heart.

When we put OURSELF above God. (AKA selfish, self-centered).
John Brevere said it perfectly in his book, “The Bait Of Satan” by saying, “The most effective way for the enemy to blind us is to cause us to focus on ourselves.” Page 1.
The word, “reprove” (in the KJV, “convict” in AMP) is #1651 Greek in the Strong’s Expanded Bible dictionary means “to confute, admonish:- reprove, rebuke, convince, tell (one’s) fault, convict.

This word means to rebuke another with the truth so that the person confesses, or at least is convicted of his sin. Although convicted, he may not be convinced.”
So people will deny The Power of The Holy Spirit by denying the truth of their heart’s conduction, of their sin.
The two greatest Commandments are found in Matthew 22:35-40. It states to “37 …LOVE The Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind (intellect).

38 This is the great (most important, principal) and first commandment.

39 And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as [you do] yourself.”
LOVE. Without LOVING God with all you are, and loving all people, we are in sin.

Period.
Re-read 2 Timothy 3:1-5. Do those Christians sound loving? No.

The Holy Spirit will convict us of our unloving hearts, minds, words and actions, if we let Him pierce our hearts with His Words.
We must NOT allow OURSELF (selfish, self centered) ways, (thoughts, words, ambitions, pride, etc) distort our view of God Almighty, The God of Love (see 1 John 4:7-13).

We must humble our hearts before Him. Submit all of who we are (mind, body, heart, body) to Him, and be quick to repent.

Only through His Love, (His Love flowing out of our hearts, minds, mouth and actions) can we truly live as one with Him.

(See John chapters 14-15).

That’s The POWER of LOVE!

That’s The Power Of Love!
An excerpt: “A true act of love will disarm the enemy and render him defenseless. It’s a choice we make by the words we speak. The only authority Satan has is empowered by words. Our words of love will starve the devil and weaken his defenses. Satan thought the victory was his when he convinced man to kill the Son of God. But when Jesus said, “Forgive them Father”, He released power into the earth. In the same way, when you truly forgive and choose to love, you release the same kingdom power and the enemy has no defense against it. Satan cannot combat it. That’s why love is such a powerful weapon in the mouths of the saints.
And when they had come to the place called Calvary, there they crucified Him, and the criminals, one on the right hand and the other on the left. Then Jesus said, “Father forgive them, for they do not know what they do.” (Luke 23:33-34)

Another excellent book on forgiveness and love is, “The Bait Of Satan” by John Brevere.

You will know them by their fruits!

An excerpt from one of my favorite authors:

“Galatians 5:22-23 says, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.” This is the fruit that must be seen in the personal life of a true prophet. Jesus said that the world would know that we are His disciples by our love one for another (John 13:35). To love someone doesn’t necessarily mean to be nice to them. There are con artists who make a person feel wonderful and treat them nice in order to take advantage of them. There are men who will treat women wonderfully, but only to gain a sexual advantage over them. So just because a person smiles and says nice things about you doesn’t mean he or she is walking in the fruit of the Spirit!”
