The spirit of rejection.

The spirit of REJECTION. Maybe it is your dad. Maybe it is your mom. Maybe your spouse. Either way, rejection hurts. Let’s identify this spirit, because it needs to GO. It causes so much pain in people, and destroys relationships between yourself, people and even God!
First off, I believe I found this information on the web almost a year ago, but I didn’t save the website. I apologize to the author.

My prayer is that you receive heart healing from this devastating spirit. Let the healing begin!

The sprit of rejection is a form of unbelief. It says you are not accepted of God and in order to be accepted of God you have to be accepted of men first. It sets man (people), as your god by declaring that who you are, and who you are not, rests on a human who accepts you or does not accept you.

Rejection communicates that a person is unacceptable, of no value, doesn’t belong, unwanted, can’t fit in and is unloved.
Rejection communicates this message through a disgusted look, disdain, an impatient answer, a snub, through neglect, through abandoning someone, through silence.

Rejection can be real or imagined.

Rejection is one of the most devastating of all human emotions because God created us to love, and to be loved. We are born with an innate longing for love and acceptance.

The Word of God tells us that we are loved, adopted and accepted, but rejection has an assignment to steal those truths from us.

There are two ingredients for rejection: It really did happen or the person imagined it.
60-70% of all rejection is imagined and the person really was not rejected, but because they have a spirit of rejection, they take every little look, every little word, every little sound, etc and twist, and turn it to make themselves feel rejected.

(Note: a spirit of rejection is a demonic spirit that is assigned to a person or persons with the objective to get the person to BELIEVE they are rejected, and then make sure they continue to feel rejected. If they can reach this objective, then other demonic spirits can also join in, such as spirits of fear- always fearing someone else will reject them, depression- becoming depressed because no one SEEMS to like them, suicide- ‘why stay when no one likes me?’, rebellion- ‘Since you don’t like me I’ll show you what you are missing! I’ll run away, become so rich, become deadly, etc. that you will wish you treated me better!’, etc.)

Let God be true and every man a liar.
Romans 8:15-15 AMP, “15. For [the Spirit which] you have now received [is] not a spirit of slavery to put you once more in bondage to fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption [the Spirit producing sonship] in [the bliss of] which we cry, Abba (Father)! Father! 16. The Spirit Himself [thus] testifies together with our own spirit, [assuring us] that we are children of God,”

The spirit of rejection causes people to creat defense mechanisms so they can protect themselves.
The most important defense mechanism of rejection is to withdrawal, like a turtle in a shell for protection. There is fear of being vulnerable. We don’t allow ourselves to trust anyone because we don’t want to be hurt again.

Jesus was rejected and despised of men, but He made Himself vulnerable, and He is our standard. (Please read Isaiah 53)
Some people are more afraid of people than God.
Some avoid close relationships.

Another mechanism coming out of withdrawal is fear of failure.

Fear of failure will not let you go forward in relationship.

Fear of failure will not allow you to take a risk.

Security is an illusion.

There is nothing in life but opportunity.

Security is fear.

God made provision for failing. His Grace! (Power by The Holy Spirit to meet every need, knowing we can’t!)
2 Corinthians 12:7-9 AMP, “7. And to keep me from being puffed up and too much elated by the exceeding greatness (preeminence) of these revelations, there was given me a thorn (a splinter) in the flesh, a messenger of satan, to rack and buffet and harass me, to keep me from being excessively exalted. 8. Three times I called upon the Lord and be besought [Him] about this and begged that it might depart from me; 9. But He said to me, My grace (My favor and loving-kindness and mercy) is enough for you [sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully]; for My strength and power are made perfect (fulfilled and completed) and show themselves most effective in [your] weakness. Therefore, I will all the more gladly glory in my weaknesses and infirmities, that the strength and power of Christ (the Messiah) may rest (yes, may pitch a tent over and dwell) upon me!”

Fear of rejection is another defense mechanism that causes withdrawal. You lose the battle in your mind before anything happens.
Fear of abandonment comes with rejection, but it is easily defeated when you read Isaiah chapters 53 – 54, and Hebrews 13:5- which says He will never leave you or forsake you, as well as The Song Of Solomon. Romans 8:31 states that if God is for you, who can be against you?)
A second defense mechanism of rejection is exploding with anger, hatred, and bitterness, fighting against real or supposed injustice or pain.
Remember, a lot of rejection is made up in the mind and the person was not rejected, but but then explode with anger and bitterness, and now rejection is hiding behind bitterness.

A third defense mechanism is looking for a meaningful identity outside of a complete and true relationship with The living Godhead; The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. (Isaiah 54 You are the Bride Of Christ!) Rejection will not allow you to have an identity.
Sometimes the identity crisis or trying to establish meaningful identity, is that you want to pattern yourself after someone else.
Some people use others as their source, or find someone weaker to be with, or develop a fabricated personality.

You stand alone before God and your identity needs to be complete in Him. He is your identity! No one else!

When you feel rejected, we are agreeing with satan’s kingdom.
An unloving spirit is right there saying, “There’s a good reason that you’re rejected. You must be evil, unclean and no good.”

We find justification from our rejection.

We fear we are going to fail.

We fear what others may think.

We fear they won’t love us.

Going under rejection brings bitterness, jealousy, envy, fear, unloving spirits and ultimately disease.

Love and acceptance is the antidote to rejection.
The reversal of rejection is accepting God’s Love for us and acceptance without exception.

He made us for His pleasure and knew us before the foundation of the World!

(Please see Jeremiah 1:5, Ephesians 1:4, Romans 8:29)

Song Of Solomon 4:7-10 AMP, “7. [He exclaimed] O my love, how beautiful you are! There is no flaw in you! 8. Come away with Me from Lebanon, My [promised] bride, come with Me from Lebanon. Depart from the top of Amana, from the peak of Senir and Hermon, from the lions’ den, from the mountain of the leopards. 9. You have ravished My heart and given Me courage, My sister, My [promised] bride; you have ravished My heart and given Me courage with one look from your eyes, with one jewel of your necklace. 10. How beautiful is your love, My sister, my [promised] bride! How much better is your love than wine! And the fragrance of your ointments than all the spices!”

(Who ever does the will of The Father is Jesus’ sister, brother and mother. See Matthew 12:46-50.)

Know who you are in Christ. Knowing who you are in Christ is of prime importance.
The Father has accepted you, but have you accepted yourself?
Rejection will not allow you to accept yourself.

Self-rejection, self-hatred, guilt, unloving spirits, images, impressions and emotions will tell you that you are not the, “far rest of them all.”

Jesus dealt with that in Isaiah 53, John 3:16, and The Song Of Solomon!

When praying. The spirit of rejection causes you to doubt, and you are unsure if something will happen. It hinders you!
It will often point to weaknesses in our lives, and says that God may use others, but not you. “It will not happen for you because,,,” and it gives you all the reasons why God cannot use you.

It reminds you that you should have been holy by now, that you should have prayed more, that you should,… Etc. (This is a spirit of religion)

If you have thoughts like, ‘should’, ‘would’, ‘if only’, etc. these thoughts are from the spirit of rejection. It will always require more of you, and it will never be satisfied.
You can never really satisfy a spirit of rejection, and as long as it can drive you. You will never be completely satisfied, no matter how much good is happening to you.

The spirit of rejection says, “You’re not good enough to be accepted. You need someone to make you better!”
Then the spirit of religion says, “You need to find someone to teach you!”

Then the person finds a church / pastor / mentor to help teach / guide, etc. Then that person or people say, “You need to do more! You need to work at our church, go and bring people to our church!… Give more tithes, etc.”

All the while, you are still starving for God’s love.

The “mentors” still never fully accept you, but, if you do exactly as they say,… if you listen to their strategies (and gossip), to help them get what they want, (a higher position at church, get others to de-throne the pastor, etc) then, they will flatter you, “be there for you” and spend time with you. (This is a false sense of acceptance and love). But if you don’t,… they will punish you, reject you and turn others against you. This is the spirit of jezebel.

It’s a vicious cycle. From rejection to religion to jezebel, just to go back to rejection, etc.
These three spirits work together to keep you busy, always searching, and always farther from God’s truth that He deeply, loves you with no strings attached.

Rejection will drive you so that you are burned out and exhausted.
If you feel there is something that always drives you, that must always do something better, that you constantly feel that everything must be perfect.

Are you a perfectionist? You should know that it’s the spirit of rejection that drives you.

The spirit of rejection will never be satisfied.

Rejection leads to unbelief.
Rejection will result in you being double minded.
Double minded is, in a way, that you have two minds, and you have trouble making up your mind.

You are like a wave of the sea, thrown here and there by every wind that comes. This means you are easily controlled by circumstances and feelings, and are afraid to take a wrong or, not perfect choice.

The spirit of rejection will have you constantly craving the love from other people, the opposite sex, flirting, etc.
The spirit of rejection will separate you in three levels:
From God,

From yourself,

From others.

If you have experienced rejection you may soon feel that God has rejected you, and then, you pull away from God.
Or, you are constantly afraid that He will reject you. (Condemnation)

Romans 8:1 “Therefore [there is] now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty or wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus.”

GOD LOVES YOU UNCONDITIONALLY! You are His beloved, His creation, His joy! Do not allow the enemy to put ANY thought in your head! He’s the father of LIES.

Two EXCELLENT books on getting to know The Father’s heart towards you is called, “The Secret Of The Stairs” by Wade E. Taylor and “Drawing Near” by John Brevere. Both of these books will open your eyes to how much you are, unconditionally loved by The Trinity.
I would also recommend “The Bait Of Satan” by John Brevere. This is a great book about forgiveness and heart healing.

Let the healing begin! 🙂
